 Great buy FURminator! January 7, 2009
We used this product that our son had on our two large dogs when visiting at Thanksgiving. It's great and decreases rolling fur balls around the house. Was thrilled to find it at Amazon for less than 1/2 the price at Pets Mart and free shipping. Definately 5 stars!
large furminator January 7, 2009
Works very well; is very sharp; a larger base than I had thought so covers a sizable area at once on our Brittany. Amazing how much undercoat it removes without stressing the dog.

it works well for our lab mix with shorter more wirey hair but our retreivers coat lost its sheen and luster. the furminator seemed to give him split ends and it also made his dry skin/allergy issues worse.
Okay, but not great January 7, 2009
I have an over-sized, plush coat German Shepherd and have wanted to try the Furminator for a long time. It is just "okay". Not much better than the rake and combs I have and a lot more expensive. It might work better for dogs with thinner coats, but just skims the top of mine and doesn't reach down deep enough to do a lot of good. Not worth the money.
Beyond expectations January 7, 2009
I was a little skeptical before purchasing the furminatur but this really does the job. It definately cuts down on the constant shedding and our dog loved it. Make sure if you purchase one that you get the right size. I got the medium but probably should have gotten the large.
